I have been professionally training for over 15 years. I am extremely knowledgeable regarding exercise physiology, which includes, but is not limited to: medical exercise therapy, sports rehab (post injury), preventive injury and cardiovascular conditioning.

There is more to working out than just sweating in the gym. Having a well thought out plan combining exercise and nutrition is essential for achieving your goals. As your personal trainer, I will chart your progress, analyze and design a custom tailored exercise program to fit your needs; seeing what works for you and what doesn't. Nutrition is just as important, up to 80% of your success in the gym is attributed to nutrition. Combining exercise and nutrition together, I will help you to achieve your desired results.

I have successfully delivered significant results to a variety of client types from beginner level to sport enthusiasts. I encourage a healthy lifestyle and strive to help others reach their fitness goals.

As a veteran of the health and fitness industry, I have worked in mega-gyms and small studios and while there are pros and cons with both, the one thing that remain a constant is my personal training clients'expectations whether it be general fitness, weight loss, corrective exercise or sport-specific goals. And as a cancer survivor myself, I certainly understand the trials and tribulations of getting -back- and staying in shape.

With that in mind I strive to deliver programs that hit the mark time after time because my clients' success in reaching their goals is what keeps me motivated day after day. I do not have a cookie-cutter approach to health and fitness and my goal is to give my clients 100% of my attention, 100% of the time while keeping in mind the 7 big components of functional fitness: Range Of Motion, Strength, Coordination, Joint Stability, Endurance, Proprioception and Balance.

His experience extends from youth sports conditioning to senior adult exercise to enhance/improve activities for daily living. He personally played many organized sports including football, basketball (collegiate), volleyball, softball, baseball and recreational sports such as tennis and golf. He has trained himself and others over the years with extensive experience utilizing numerous exercise/weight-training equipment and aerobic exercise equipment.

Shelby is a NASM certified Personal Trainer, and training professionally for over a year. With a passion for knowledge, she is currently continuing her education in Exercise science and Nutrition, and taking certification courses in Fitness Nutrition & Senior Fitness. Shelby has a passion for fitness. Before even deciding to become a Trainer, her friends and family would regularly ask her for workout advice. After seeing that she could help people each and everyday, she decided to make it a career. Outside of the gym, she loves to spend time outdoors with family & friends. Shelby typically participates in yearly Fitness Competitions. It takes a lot of preparation & dedication, but she loves the challenge! Her personal strengths include: Weight Loss, HIIT Training, Strength Training, Group Training, Bikini Prep, & Nutrition.
